Hair Transplant Females

Androgenetic alopecia.
The follicular changes causing androgenetic alopecia are similar between male and female hair loss.
Hair loss in men is generally characterized by a receding hairline (frontal area), affecting the temples (temporal area) and the crown region (vertical area). Women, on the other hand, generally lose their hair more extensively on the crown of the head. It is very rare for women to experience complete hair loss.
Hair loss in women is mainly characterized by general thinning that occurs all over the scalp or localized; affecting only specific areas of the head.
Androgenetic alopecia in women can manifest itself in 3 different patterns of hair loss:

• Diffuse (progressive)
• Localized (stable)
• Schematic (male model)
